A Christmas show

OK so you have all seen Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and Santa Clause is coming to town and Frosty the snowman. Now there is a show that is Tradition in my family. We would gather around the TV every year with Mom and Dad. That show was called A Christmas Story. Yes that exact same one with the kid who told the story from his point of view about Christmas and he wanting a Red Rider 200 shot Carbine Action Air Rifle BB gun, with a compass in the stock. Every time Ralphie would tell his parents of even Santa Clause at the Mall they would all responded to his request, "You'll shoot your eye out kid". Just a great show.

My wife got the DVD for me and I just now was able to rip it to my hard drive. now I can see it when ever I want to. I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and have a great Christmas story

Extreme Sports

Every Friday when I go home from work I drive across the Twin Falls Perrine Bridge and I see The Base jumpers get ready to jump over the bridge with there parachutes on. This is the only place left in the United States that allows base jumping year round with out a permit. So I see these guys jump and to me that's pretty extreme and I will admit that I have seen some interesting things happen here. Now I was sent a pretty cool video from one of my friends that I think is really really extreme and I wanted to share it with you. So sit back, relax , put your dinner trays in there upright position and enjoy the ride.

It's about time

Yeah its about time things happen. Its about time Gas prices are going down. This morning when I went to fill the van with gas, I was very happy to be able to fill the tank for just 20 dollars. How long has it been since I was able to do that huh? Gas right now in Idaho is a $1.87 a gallon in some places. Yeah yeah I know, for most of you its been that way or even lower for a while but here in Idaho they are greedy and kept the price high for a long time.

Another its about time is that I write in my blog. lol yeah I know its been almost a month, no excuses for another good story or something that's going on. I have been dealing allot in work and home making sure both are getting the right balanced attention. Also been enjoying face book meeting new friends and getting back with friends that I haven't seen in a while.

Ok so here is a story for you, another IT'S ABOUT TIME. Imagine if you will The story of the Laptop that went through heck and back.

Today I spoke with a guy that has had a his laptop since 2005. He said that the computer has been doing well and has never had a problem until now. I asked what was it that was wrong, he replied "you know those rubber feet on the bottom"? "I'm missing one" can you send me a rubber foot? Now here I am used to dealing with high end servers and raid systems with multiple parts and he needs just a rubber foot? WOW let me call in the reserves and get every supervisor, team coach in on this. His warranty was up in 3 days. He will get his rubber foot in the morning.

now you may thing awwwww such a great story a man and his laptop two best friends walking off into the sunset . Well wait till you meet Frank.

Frank called in, another man that said it was his first time calling in on his computer. He had an issue with his Laptop. the Internet was not working and needed some help getting back online. After going through a series of software trouble shooting I decided its got to be something hardware. I had him unplug the the cable. he said it would take a sec he had to take the tape off from around the cord. He said he used tape to hold it in because the cord was loose. Suddenly the power on the computer went out because he had tape holding the power cord in because it was loose.

I told him that these shouldn't be loose and asked what was the deal. he said that he noticed they were loose when the computer fell off the desk. He also said that he needed to put some more tape on them so they will hold. he had to put tape on the bottom to cover the hole he made because he hit it so hard because the fan wasn't working because again it fell off the desk.

he then told me about the duct tape that holds the battery in place, again all from the fall. now it gets interesting. He also said he had to go to the store because he is out of transparent tape that he puts on the LCD screen because there is a big crack across the screen. I started to laugh and asked "is that also from the fall" He said yes. How did I know. ok what else.

Now at this time my eyes were watery because I was laughing because if this huge tape job. I'm thinking wow I wish I could actually see what this laptop looked like. Then the next thing he told me was unbelievable. He told me that his computer gets hot, really hot. I'm thinking ummmm duh all the tape, the falling off the desk, ummmmm yeah I bet it's massively hot. He said that was part of the deal with the fan not working and I said In a controlled laughing voice "this is from the fall off the desk to"? I heard this very low embarrassed "yes" on the other side of the phone. Frank said that when it gets that hot he shuts it down and goes and sticks the laptop in the freezer. At that moment I had to put him on hold and take my head set off . I couldn't hold it in anymore. I let loose a laugh that my team mates were wondering what happened. After telling them what happened with this guy some of them laughed pretty good. After all that He wanted me to replace his computer. Well the answer was a big no. Its like if I took my car and ran it in to a light pole on purpose, then go to a car dealer and say "Hey replace my car", Yeah like that's going to happen.

I felt bad for the guy but not to much. I think he would be better off if he had one of these .

Because I got a funny feeling he is one of these guys that has a homemade tank top.

A little bundle

Last weekend we had the privilege of a bundle of joy come to us. Out next door neighbors wanted to do something for themselves for their wedding anniversary and for one day and night and asked if we would take care of there 3 month old baby girl. Her name is Rhetta Gene.

Rhetta Gene came to the house around 10:00 am Saturday morning. OK so I know I'm not a dad but I have nieces and nephews and they were once that age and I thought I did a great job helping out taking care of them when they needed it . I thought ok Gary, you have done this before , should be a piece of cake. Heather picked her up from her carrier and Rhetta was smiling and cooing and I came over and to say hi and when Rhetta saw me her blue eyes got very big and started to water up, her bottom lip started to quiver and she let out this blood curdling scream. From the sound that came out of that little body she seemed to have fully grown set of adult lungs. I still bucked up and continued to be bound and determined to have some sort of bond with this little baby.

Heather and Rhetta bonded and had a good time. (of course Heather babysits our neighbors kids often)

as the night moved on Rhetta was fed and burped and fell asleep. Rhetta is a pretty good baby, she doesn't cry constantly unless its the usual, Being hungry uncomfortable sick etc, or even the dreaded terrible awful nasty thing that makes you want to gag, the dirty diaper. ewwwww

Rhetta went to sleep, and she slept for quite sometime to. Heather got a call from her friend and they went out for a bit. I sat at the computer and the baby was next to me fast asleep.

as the night went on she was still sleeping like a little angel. but it was quiet too quiet. then it happened . I started to hear a very familiar sound. Remember when I said she seemed to have lungs like an adult? Well this little girl could sure pass gas like one to. She was farting up a storm, wow I was hearing noises coming from that baby, I looked down at her and she was still asleep and was seemed to have a little contented grin on her cute little face. I chuckled a little bit and still kept working on the computer. then I heard her squirming and looked as she woke up. Ok, this is it Yellow alert. I had a bottle in hand ready go.

I bent down and picked her up and to my surprise she didn't cry, in fact she smiled at me. I was smitten. I held her in my arm and began to feed her. She was hungry.

So here I was at my computer desk baby in one arm with my head propped in a way that I could hold her bottle with my chin while my other hand was on the mouse going to the places on the web I needed to go. I was quite proud of my self. I was handling things pretty good. I lifted her up and put her up to my shoulder to burp her again I heard noises that sounded more adult then baby when she burped. And then it happened. the thing I was dreading. at first the smell came. I had forgotten what that smell was like and the farts began to sound like they were a little bit wet. ewwwwwww. Ok Gary, you better check. So I checked the diaper, My eyes began to water and my bottom lip began to quiver. Now I knew then why she smiled at me when I picked her up. ha ha ha look what I have for you old man . the situation was getting dire and Heather was still gone.

It was time. RED ALERT. I set her down and put on my bomb squad gear, undressed the child and took off the diaper. At that moment I was very grateful the diaper had that elastic around the legs because what was in there was sure to squish out. It seemed like time stood still at that moment I sat there wondering how could something so much come out of a little thing like that . I went to clean her up, wiping away my watery eyes with a sock wrapped around my nose and gloves on. (part of the bomb squad gear) I folded up the diaper and put on a new one. I grabbed the dirty diaper and got rid of it as fast as I could.

After that little ordeal Heather came home and fed her a little.

it was getting late and we were no used to having a baby in the home. it was time to go to bed but Rhetta was wide awake and even when we put her in the carrier she would begin to cry. We though we could take shifts and one of us would go sleep while the other would watch her. Every coo and goo goo that came from Rhetta Heather would shoot out from the bed room and say whats wrong. Heather went back to bed. It was getting later and later and Rhetta was still wide a wake. Heather came back out and said I was over tired and that she would take over. I decided to let Heather go back to sleep since she was tired to. I stayed with this little girl.

it came up to 2 am and I had her in my arms rocking her back and forth in my chair. I was bound and determined to have her go to sleep.

I walked the streets of Queens and Brooklyn New York. I was mugged and shot at. I was there when the World Trade Center was bombed the first time. I stood up to guys twice my size ridiculing me because I was white . If I could do these things I could make this child fall asleep.

At 4:30 am, mountain time. Heather was asleep and so did Rhetta.

The next morning Rhetta's parents came home and her mom came and to pick her up. Heather gave her to her mom and I came around to say goodbye. instead of crying when she saw me Rhetta smiled and giggled. it was very cool. I think we had bonded.

Voting day

I voted today. McCain all the way, but I think Obama is going to win. It was cool to vote this time.

Instead of the same old poke out the little hole of who you wanted, I got to sit at a scanner. The attendants took my ballet and put in in the scanner and then a touch screen came up and I was able to select who I wanted in office by just touching the screen like my palm pilot.

I am sure that is normal for everyone else but here in the small town of Burley, that's something new. Of all the years I have been voting, its been , Stand at the booth, take out a sharp metal pocking device the size of a pencil and poke out the little hole.

We will see who our new President will be soon.

Halloween Recap.

Well, lets recap shall we. This last week had one of the great holidays to it. Halloween. Halloween is one of my favorites and I usually dress up and decorate the house and scare little kids when they ring the doorbell.

This year though was pretty dry. I didn't have the vibe to dress up. Maybe it had something to do with the weather because it has been raining all week and still is to this day. So there was some BLAH, to Halloween. I also noticed that not very many kids went out door to door anyway.

Heather and I went to the church for a little get together and some dinner and after that there was a children s gathering out side in the parking lot with there parents called a "trunk or treat" Its much like trick or treating but you go from car to car to car and the adults pass out candy to all the kids that are dressed up in there costumes and then go home. Its the safe way to Trick or Treat because you go to people you trust. To be honest it sucks because of all the unsafe things that can happen to little kids and the bad stuff that gets put into candy that could be in your bags.

I remember when I was growing up My Brothers and sister would go all over the neighbor hood and all across town. Those were simpler days back then. I do remember one scare when some one said they found a razor blade that some one had put inside an apple. But that was rumors , here say and it was not confirmed. Even then we still trekked on seeing who could get the most candy that night.

There still were people that decorated for Halloween. Here is a couple of pictures of our neighbors house across the street

Now with the new week coming and yes you guessed it, tomorrow if voting day. We will see how this new President will help us (or hinder us even more) works out. As part of this new week, my new work schedule starts. I will be working 6:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. I am very happy to have my weekends back.

Also I wanted to share with you a video I received in my email today. I thought it was cool.

I leave you now with this video to watch and talk to you all again soon. Happy voting.

I'm Gary Moncur and I approve this message

A little recap of the last two weeks.

The last two weeks has seen shown some interesting things. As in my past posts we had some really crazy weather and snow to boot. Also around that time Heather and I had an interesting moment outside our front door.

I was sitting at the computer and I heard out from a large thump and what sounded like scraping for a few minutes . I sat there wondering what in the world that could be. a few minutes later my wife comes rushing through the front door with the biggest "holy cow " look on her face. She said Gar, you have to come out here fast and see this! As she turns around to go back outside she shouts "bring the camera". Well I was really wondering what was going on now if it meant me taking some pictures.

I got out side and I could see a Tall man in overalls and a ball cap on his head. He was mumbling some words which I will not say here because they were some heavy duty words that one would say when something like this happens. The man was driving his nice looking 1980's 4x4 jacked up pick up truck to come see my neighbor. As he turned the corner, his rear wheels and the shafts they are connected to pop out of the truck. When they pop out the rear end of the pick up slams to the ground and the driver then drags the truck the rest of the way past our house and to our neighbors, here are some shots of that.

Last Weekend My family went to the Mountains, more specifically the City of Rocks national park. We have gone there for years to camp and climb the rocks. My wife Heather, my little brother Brian and brother David and his wife Misty and the kids Zach and Kammy. Also we had the privilege of having Mom with us to. The only ones that were missing was our sister Ann who was at work and our late father who would have been proud to see all of us there. See , my wife's blog for details on Dad.

http://tiggerlovespooh83318.blogspot.com/2008/10/he-would-of-been-proud-this-is-test.html

We had a great time climbing rocks and hiking and roasting a hot dog or two.

And lastly, last Friday I was able to have the most wonderfully out standing opportunity of renewing my drivers licence. My wife and I walked into the room and waited in line. When the lady who ran the facility said "next" it reminded me of how the lunch ladies acted when I was in Jr high school.

I was asked a few questions from this lady who had the personality of (in the words of my father) colder then a nun's bum. Although I know of something colder like a mother-in-laws kiss that would make hell freeze into the next ice age, but that is another story and one I will get into at another time.

This lady only looked at me twice, and in that time her questions were " are you and illegal alien? I calmly said no. but you should have heard the snickers coming from Heather. The lady then asked me if I was born in the United States? I again with a smile in the corner of my mouth said "yes". Then she asked if I was Chinese. I took a long pause Hopping that she would look at me, but she didn't. and I said no, although I wanted to start speaking broken garbled Chinese just to show this lady up. I filled out the necessary paper work and took the eye exam,

my eye site has changed since the last time I had them checked. I could read the letters all on line two that she asked me to read but it was a little harder and I had to squint to see the letters. looks like I better go see the eye doctor soon.

I sat down to have my picture taken and waited for my licence to be made. During that time another gentle man came in and wanted to renew his licence, this time I could see her actions and the way she asked the questions. I think she was a Jr high school lunch lady in another life or something.

The lady summoned me back to the counter and said my licence was ready. You want to know something a little Ironic? My eyes squinted at the moment the flash happened. I look a little Chinese

All gone

Just wanted to update you on the snow situation. Its pretty much gone now. the sky has been nice and blue, and its been in the 50's and 60's for the temperature. I do hope that we have a fall season before we have a winter. I like to see the leaves change colors before they are covered in snow.

An update to some cool news

A few Posts in this blog ago. I wrote to you about my status with my psoriasis and how I needed to have my cholesterol and liver checked so I will be able to take a new medication that will get rid of my psoriasis. Today I got my test results for my liver. a normal live point rating is 41. I am 43. I am a perfect candidate for this medication. With that and exercise I can over come this psoriasis. I probably will be starting on the new medication sometime next week, Wanted you to all know.

Also here is an update on the weather tonight. SNOW.

The changing faces of the weather

The last few days I have been driving over the bridge in Twin falls back and forth to work. Every time I look out into the snake river canyon its just a wonderful site to behold. With Fall time comes all the cool colors and the the warm but not to hot and not to cold weather.
Every time I drove across the bridge I said I will get the camera and get a picture of this, and each day I would forget the camera. Well last Thursday, I brought the camera. Here are a few shots of the canyon.

Now today is a different story. I woke up this morning at 8 am and sat down in the living room. I heard a pop, well more like a bang out side and suddenly the power went out. I got up and looked out the window and this is what I saw.

So as you can see, we have crazy weather. We were with out power untill noon today. It snowed alot. It is has been snowing all day long, even up to Blizzard status. It is expected to snow like this up untill noon tomorrow. Wow.

Some cool news.

As all of you know (or if you didn't know you will now ) about 12 years ago I started to develop psoriasis. Any were on my body if I were to be cut or punctured or something my body would wig out and say "fix it" and shove everything to the wound to fix the issue and there would be to much excess skin which would die and stay their. It would build up in patches. During the winter months these patches would get very dry and sometimes crack and bleed. Some would even form around my joints like my knee and elbows and it would hurt to move. Its not contages, it is hereditary and for some reason it was dormant until now.

I have used creams and ointments and there were times when they would work. Some of these creams were very potent and had to have a prescription. this cream when used could only be put on the psoriasis plague but if it touched good healthy skin it would burn like you wouldn't believe and in the burned spots cause the psoriasis to go more because my body said its hurt again "fix it"

I had to stop that and go looking around for something else and heard a radio commercial on my way to work on morning. It was a cream called dermarest. they said it would take care of it. and it was over the counter at Wal-mart. Well I got it, used it and for a little bit it looked like things were good. the white plaques were gone but it left red welts that didn't hurt but my body once again said "fix it " and tried to heal them.

Now mind you I have gone to see the dermatologist, in fact it was him who prescribed the cream that burned. Recently I went back to see him again and he looked at me and said that it looks worse from the last time I was in but there was something new.

He told me of a pill that I could take that could clear it all up in one stoke and that I would have normal looking skin, I can't remember the name because it was long

Now this pill is big time potent. Its great, but there are some requirements. I can't have high cholesterol and my liver has to be able to handle it. Ok so I got scared there. I know I'm not in the greatest of shape, so for a while I didn't take the blood test. And I just dealt with it. Well there became a new development. I started to retain water in my legs and was put on a water pill to get it off. It works , theres no doubt, I take allot of bathroom breaks, but some times my legs get so bad that they swell up and when they stretch the psoriasis breaks and the wound oozes and mixes in with dead skin and causes the fungal infection and I would have to be put on antibiotics.

Well I couldn't stand it anymore and my poor wife would go through my pain to because I would be just a big grump and it wasn't fair to her. I took the blood test. Just one little poke and that was that.

I got to a point where I was wondering how things went but didn't pursue it much. I let it go for a while. I was then thinking lets find out so we went back to the doctor and asked for the results.

We walked in the Dr's office and sat down and asked him to give it to us strait and to see how bad of shape I was in. Dr Boehmer looked at his records and looked at me and shook his head and said it was unbelievable about my cholesterol. He said it was lower then his. I was in shock. I thought it was going to be skyrocketed through the roof but the doctor said my cholesterol was well below 100 points and all my other LDL and HDL were fine to. We don't have the results for the liver test back yet but the Dr said that with the cholesterol and everything looking the way it is I am going to be just fine and a perfect candidate to take this pill.

So If I can take this pill and be psoriasis free, that's going to be one of the best things to happen in a long time. I thought you all should know this.

Back in the blogging sadle again

I know, I know. Its been a while since I wrote anything in this thing we call a life line to family. I'm sorry for that and will keep it up a little better but like my wonderful sister-in law said "no news is good news",and that is how its been. I have been getting up going on the road at 5:30 am and getting to work by 6:30 am and going home falling asleep and going back again. its been a tough couple of weeks at work now that we are taking care of the home users customers. It was that we just took care of government and large businesses and took care of there computers , I will give you an example.

A guy calls in from either a government job or large business who is an IT professional and says whether its the hard drive or motherboard etc. etc. and says this is what I did to find out and that's what happened and we usually go in and send the part. but now we deal with the mom and pop shops that call in and say ummmm its broke. fix it. and my personal favorite "hey wheres the power button., when I hear that I imagine some hillbilly in overalls and buck teeth looking at the computer scratching his head saying well gooooooly whats it do?

With those you just take more time and have patents lots of it. I am now a huge fan of remote assistance. I just log on to there computer and they get wowed and I fix the issues and I am the hero (standing with fists on hips and cape flowing in the wind) OK OK got a little carried away there. but that's been it for the last little while . lets see... what else......... ohhh yeah!!!!!!! my colon is clear!!!!!!!!! and when you have been constipated and your finally able to clear it, well, you feel good. Damn good. I know that is not on your need to know list but hey its my blog and now I am feeling good so I'm sharing. HA HA HA

And now what I am going to talk about is more towards the upper part of my body, my heart.

I wanted to talk about my wife. I haven't done this or not often enough but I wanted all of you to know how truly wonderful she is and how much I love her. Now you know and I know we have had our ups and downs, and in the 13 and a half years we have been married its been the majority of downs. But when we are in the ups its absolutely amazing. she is kind, warm, caring loving the list goes on and on. Heather truly loves her family and we are all her family to (meaning my family) and she wants to just be there for them as well.

The last little while we have been in the ups and she has been very supportive ( even when I have to work late because I had to help some dude reformat his hard drive after admitting to me that he went to 27 different porn sites and got several viruses from them and said "well I really didn't think I needed them anti-virus thing-a-ma jigs because it was slowing me down" . Ummmmmm DUH yeah buddy , you just hosed yourself.

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that Heather and I are doing well, and we are living life one day at a time.

My ode to 9/11

Yesterday was an historic anniversary. Seven years ago 2 jet air liners slammed themselves into the World Trade Center after being hijacked by terrorists. There where 2 other planes hijacked as well, one flying into the Pentagon and the other crashed in Pennsylvania.

I’m not going to go into massive detail of how and why things happened because you have seen and heard it all on TV or the Internet. The events that happened that day hit all of us in some way or another. For me the attack in New York was not just an attack, it was personal.

I went on my mission to New York city. I had the honor and privilege to go to the World Trade Center and be on the top and look down and see the city. Every where I went I could see those two buildings. I knew I couldn't get lost because there they where.

I was there when the first bombing of the trade center happened In 1993. There was a lot of chaos and confusion. I was in Queens at the time it happened. After the heat settled and things were made known as to what happened, the repairs were underway and the north tower fixed and life in New York was on the verge of being normal again. It was then I able to visit the towers for the second time.

Their was a tradition that took place on the observation deck of the south tower, (tower 2). What was at first graffiti turned into something that was cool. On the observation deck you have a huge view of the city. You can see all 5 city Boroughs Manhattan
, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Bronx. You can also see parts of upstate New York and you can see New Jersey. As you are up there looking down there was a hand railing. Under the hand railing was the cool thing. There were signatures of everyone and the date they were there under that railing. I was privileged to sign it as well.
When I got the news about the
attacks I was on my way to work. I was listening to the radio and at that time they were thinking that a plane accidentally ran into the building. When I got to work and got things up and running that when I got the total news. I couldn’t work well at all for the rest of the day. It felt like a part of me went down with those buildings.

So I make this little tribute to the men and women that died and those that saved lives. Also to my friends that live there. These are pictures that I took while I was there.

Just a few updates

Hello family and friends

I wanted to update you guys on a few things.

1. Mom and Dad's house looks great. the metal roof is on and the fence is back up. the roof makes the house shine along with the new paint job. Mom says she loves it and is continuing to make further improvements. I didn't get a picture but I will do that soon.

2. I found a great piece of software with the help of my friend Matt. For me its new but I'm sure most of you have heard of this and could be using it as we speak but its called DVD shrink. I can now back up some of my DVD's and save them on the hard drive. after a time I will get some DVD r's and dvd rw's and then burn them to the disk. I can even watch them from the computer with out putting in a dvd, if you would like here is the link.

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm

I can shrink movies down small enough that I can watch them on my Palm PDA, only one movie at a time but I can take a movie with me, HEE HEE

3. My wife got me a new razor. Its the
Schick Quattro Titanium Trimmer Razor
Its nice. It has clippers on the end so you can trim your beard to a nice fine beard or goatee. or shave a smooth as an androids bottom.
http://www.target.com/Schick-Quattro-Titanium-Trimmer-Razor/dp/B0014WHGM8

4. I thought I would save this for last.
It was quite the party last night. I was at the computer and I could hear allot of laughing and cackling. I walked out of the house and I saw the strangest sight. Across the street were several neighbors (including my beloved wife) sitting in lawn chairs and blankets like they were watching a football game. but they were watching the other neighbors next to me who were drunk as skunks.

They were Laughing and some singing but allot of passing out. One guy passed out and they put him on the trampoline. there was so much beer and vodka that if they burped (or farted ) and a match was lit, well think of a nuclear explosion. As of right now I have not seen any movement from the house so I think they are still sleeping it off.

Well anyhow, getten to be that time of year, eh?

Has anyone noticed the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer? has anyone noticed that the temperature is not as hot as it was. And guess what I saw in TV? pre football. Yep that's what I'm saying. its getting cooler and actually its become my favorite time of year, Fall. Or to other people Autumn.

Two days ago the temp dropped and the clouds came in right as the sun was going down. it made some great colors as you can see in the photos. It started to rain a little but made a really cool rainbow. Well for those of you who love this time of year and are hunters get your AK 57 Uzi radar laser triple barrel double scoped heat seeking shot guns ready to get that thirty point buck. Enjoy the fall season.

Please don't install.

OK so I need to bring this to every one's attention. For the last month I have had to work Sundays and when I do I always come across people who just should not have a computer because they hurt themselves.

Ok one of the reasons I say this is because right now there is a rouge virus going around that is called Windows xp antivirus 2008-2009. It look like a legitimate program but its not.

Its a program that sends false information to you saying that your computer is infected and with this program it will delete all the threats. I spoke with a customer last Sunday and she told me she thought she had done something not right. All she was doing was looking for flowers to plant in her flower bed around her house, she went to http://www.google.com/ and searched the photos and BAM this program appears. she wiggs out thinking she is going to die and clicks ok and installs it. the program now in her system scans and gives her false information. at the end of the scan it says for $49.95 we can get rid of it for you.

She paid it. again it scans and says that it has gotten rid of the stuff it found the first time but says it found more and for another $49.00 it will get rid of it. Well to make a long story short she paid these people a total of $250.00 before she started to think something was wrong. When I got her call she even asked me if that was the right thing to do was to install that program. I told her no.

We went through the system and the infection was so bad that we had to reformat the hard drive and she lost all her data. Did she have back up of all her data????? well lets not answer that one and say we did because we all know SHE DID NOT BACK UP ANYTHING. Tomorrow I got back in and see how many more people hurt themselves and put a band aid on there boo boos. (no kissing of the boo boos is involved).

So please watch yourself. keep all security software you have up to date and run a scan at least once a week, Just a friendly reminder.

My Brave Nephew

Going through the pictures of the fair and rodeo I came across this picture

Now I remember this part of the adventure. Zach and Kami were eyeballing this ride for quite sometime. (Now this is just from my perspective so the total story could be different but hey we'll go with it)

Zach and Kami approached the roller coaster. Zach's dad asked him if he wanted to ride the rollercoster and Zach looked at the ride and then at his dad and back at the ride again. I could see there was hesitation in his eyes. Just then his 3 year old sister Kami said with excitement "I wanna go on it" and she started heading for the ride. Well Zach didn't want to she showed up by his sister so he went for it. I gotta say. I know what its like when your hesitant to do something but you know you gotta do it. Zach switched in to brave kid mode.

now as you can see in the picture above they are riding and what looks like to be having a good time. But on further inspection and a good zoom in we find something else.

So as you can see there is fear but he still sat in that chair and went for the ride. Now I'm sure that he would probably go on it again if it were here right now but at this moment this very moment right now he wanted it to stop but he was not going to let any one down and he did awesome.

So I want to commend my brave nephew and tell him I love him and I'm proud of him.

As we walked the park we came up to another ride, A ride that I have hated since I first lay ed eyes on it.

The Infamous "Til-a-whirl."

My Dad was challenged by my mom to ride that ride. She said he was to chicken to ride it. My dad looked at her lifted his shoulders and said that he was going to ride it just to show her that he can, and as he turned he grabbed my hand and said I was coming to.

we got strapped in and the ride started going and at first it wasn't' bad. Then everything was spinning. everything began to blurr----- and dizziness set in. when the ride was over and we got off , I couldn't walk everything was spinning. My dad seemed to be in better shape and walked with just a little bit of a tilt. But for me I had to be held up . next thing you know the stomach couldn't Handel it any more and told the body "everybody move I'm letting loose" and well it wasn't pretty. We went home and I had to lay down for a while. ahhh memories.

I wanted to thank David and Misty for coming down and going to the fair and rodeo with all of us. I'm Glad Ann came and I'm really glad that Heather came to.

WHAT'S IN A NAME

Today as I was heading home from work I was thinking about several things and one thing was that I need to blog. As I was thinking of a subject, opportunity came a knockin.
A silver pickup truck passed me. I could see what was written on the side was Luke‘s contractor service. As the truck fully passed me there lt was the funniest thing I had seen all day. On the rear window read Luke Blewett contractor service.

I laughed the rest of the way home and then started thinking of other funny names and went on line and found a ton of names there that worked well together to mean something else. And then suddenly I had a top 10 of names that were hilarious.

So in the spirit of David Letterman, lets do the top 10 tonight.
Top 10 names from wedding announcements and other sources.

10. Poore-Sapp

9 Crapp- Beer

8 Dunnam-Favors. (hmmmm I wonder what those were?)
