Please don't install.

OK so I need to bring this to every one's attention. For the last month I have had to work Sundays and when I do I always come across people who just should not have a computer because they hurt themselves.

Ok one of the reasons I say this is because right now there is a rouge virus going around that is called Windows xp antivirus 2008-2009. It look like a legitimate program but its not.

Its a program that sends false information to you saying that your computer is infected and with this program it will delete all the threats. I spoke with a customer last Sunday and she told me she thought she had done something not right. All she was doing was looking for flowers to plant in her flower bed around her house, she went to http://www.google.com/ and searched the photos and BAM this program appears. she wiggs out thinking she is going to die and clicks ok and installs it. the program now in her system scans and gives her false information. at the end of the scan it says for $49.95 we can get rid of it for you.

She paid it. again it scans and says that it has gotten rid of the stuff it found the first time but says it found more and for another $49.00 it will get rid of it. Well to make a long story short she paid these people a total of $250.00 before she started to think something was wrong. When I got her call she even asked me if that was the right thing to do was to install that program. I told her no.

We went through the system and the infection was so bad that we had to reformat the hard drive and she lost all her data. Did she have back up of all her data????? well lets not answer that one and say we did because we all know SHE DID NOT BACK UP ANYTHING. Tomorrow I got back in and see how many more people hurt themselves and put a band aid on there boo boos. (no kissing of the boo boos is involved).

So please watch yourself. keep all security software you have up to date and run a scan at least once a week, Just a friendly reminder.

My Brave Nephew

Going through the pictures of the fair and rodeo I came across this picture

Now I remember this part of the adventure. Zach and Kami were eyeballing this ride for quite sometime. (Now this is just from my perspective so the total story could be different but hey we'll go with it)

Zach and Kami approached the roller coaster. Zach's dad asked him if he wanted to ride the rollercoster and Zach looked at the ride and then at his dad and back at the ride again. I could see there was hesitation in his eyes. Just then his 3 year old sister Kami said with excitement "I wanna go on it" and she started heading for the ride. Well Zach didn't want to she showed up by his sister so he went for it. I gotta say. I know what its like when your hesitant to do something but you know you gotta do it. Zach switched in to brave kid mode.

now as you can see in the picture above they are riding and what looks like to be having a good time. But on further inspection and a good zoom in we find something else.

So as you can see there is fear but he still sat in that chair and went for the ride. Now I'm sure that he would probably go on it again if it were here right now but at this moment this very moment right now he wanted it to stop but he was not going to let any one down and he did awesome.

So I want to commend my brave nephew and tell him I love him and I'm proud of him.

As we walked the park we came up to another ride, A ride that I have hated since I first lay ed eyes on it.

The Infamous "Til-a-whirl."

My Dad was challenged by my mom to ride that ride. She said he was to chicken to ride it. My dad looked at her lifted his shoulders and said that he was going to ride it just to show her that he can, and as he turned he grabbed my hand and said I was coming to.

we got strapped in and the ride started going and at first it wasn't' bad. Then everything was spinning. everything began to blurr----- and dizziness set in. when the ride was over and we got off , I couldn't walk everything was spinning. My dad seemed to be in better shape and walked with just a little bit of a tilt. But for me I had to be held up . next thing you know the stomach couldn't Handel it any more and told the body "everybody move I'm letting loose" and well it wasn't pretty. We went home and I had to lay down for a while. ahhh memories.

I wanted to thank David and Misty for coming down and going to the fair and rodeo with all of us. I'm Glad Ann came and I'm really glad that Heather came to.

WHAT'S IN A NAME

Today as I was heading home from work I was thinking about several things and one thing was that I need to blog. As I was thinking of a subject, opportunity came a knockin.
A silver pickup truck passed me. I could see what was written on the side was Luke‘s contractor service. As the truck fully passed me there lt was the funniest thing I had seen all day. On the rear window read Luke Blewett contractor service.

I laughed the rest of the way home and then started thinking of other funny names and went on line and found a ton of names there that worked well together to mean something else. And then suddenly I had a top 10 of names that were hilarious.

So in the spirit of David Letterman, lets do the top 10 tonight.
Top 10 names from wedding announcements and other sources.

10. Poore-Sapp

9 Crapp- Beer

8 Dunnam-Favors. (hmmmm I wonder what those were?)

7Filler-Quick

6 Gowen-Geter ( what a couple)

5Weener- Whipple

4 Wacker- Dailey

3 MacDonald- Berger

2 Best- Lay

And the number one funniest name

Butts-McCracken

There is also a bonus round. There was a person I went to school with that had an interesting name as well

I give you

Jason Urabitch

yes, that is a real name. So I want to thank Luke Blewett for giving me a good laugh and some inspiration and I hope you never blow it.

Temple Open house

On the 5Th of August 2008, just two days ago Heather and I went with the Elders Quorum in the ward to the Twin Falls Idaho temple open house.

As we approached the temple you could see the beauty of it as we rounded the corner to go on East land ave. I work in Twin Falls and every day I see the the top of the spire where the angel Moroni stands and that's cool to see but it was just the best when you drive up to it.

We dealt with all the protesters there. it sort of had that feel you get when you see the protesters at the Salt Lake Temple but the moment you go into the temple grounds that feeling goes away as it did here. when we were there it was just a feeling of pure calmness and peace.

If you look at Heathers blog you will be able to see the rooms inside. the mural painted in one is a detailed portrait of the snake river canyon and mount Harrison which it absolutely incredible. if you looked hard at the mural you can even see the fine detail all the way down to a lizard on a rock.

Here are a few more pictures of the temple. Come on down and check it out.

I will get some shots of the temple in the day time soon.

And so it starts.

I have been off the game for coming up on two weeks now. Just like in real life when a family member passes a way all the rest of the family and who knows who else comes out of the wood works looking for their cut of the deal. Well I have had a friend tell his friends and there friends tell there friends and so on and so forth that I don't play anymore Well today I was confronted at work about leaving the game, some people were in shock and asked how could I do such a thing. I have defiled the world and filled it full of sacrilege. DUDE----- GET A LIFE. Also there are people that have approached me wanting me to sell my account to them so they could have all my characters gold for them. Again DUDE GET A LIFE and get a job, lol

As I watched this guy talk to me and just about offer everything from several dollars to his first born I could see the desperation in his eyes and his body language. Wow talk about some one that needed a quick fix. LOL

I'm sorry but Nigtou is not for sale. Nigtou is going to be put to rest, I worked long and hard to get all that stuff and I think he is done and he is taking it all with him to the virtual grave . 4,804 gold, 2 epic mounts (a horse and a ram) a flying griffin, (so you can fly all over the place . All the incredible pvp battle armor and High powered swords (not to mention the awesome enchants on them Like Mongoose and life stealing ). Man I would hate to be a pallbearer for him. lol

So to all those who are wanting all this, eat your hearts out folks.

The end of an era.

what I am about to say will, for some be good news. for others shocking and for others well who knows. but I have decided to stop playing the game I have been living for the past two years.

Yes the game is The World of Warcraft.

Ok ok for those of you who are shocked you can pick up your bottom jaw from the floor.

This is something that had to be done for several reasons. 1. when some one would call or come over and ask for me the conversation would go as follows. "hey how is Gary"? "He is fine just playing the game". then it became "Hey how is Gary oh wait he is still playing the game right:? "Yup"

Then it would be "Hey how is Gar- oh still playing that game, oh never mind."

Yeah that was me the game playing guy that never stuck his head out of the house because he didn't want to be bugged becaus hes trying to get to level 70 and GET HIS EPIC BIRD, SO HE CAN SLICE AND KILL THE BAD GUY AND BE THE HERO AND (whew) slow down , got a little carried away back there hee hee.

Where I work is another hot spot for this game. Most of everyone plays it and talks about. when I travel up the isles to get to my desk I either see the games website on there computer or a bunch of people are gathered together talking about what instance they ran the night before.
I admire those that can find balance in real life and "fake" life. I can't do that, for some reason it has to be either or for me.

Now how this came to be that I needed to stop was real life sucked. and this "virtual life rocked" but then the virtual life began to get dull. I mean I would come home from work, log on to the game and get sucked in and play for hours and hours but do the same thing over and over and over. Kill the bad guy, level up, earn gold and die and get your body back and do it all over again. good times good times indeed.

well one day the server went down for maintenance and I could not play anymore for several hours. suddenly I was like a junky taken off the morphine. I put the back of my hand on my forehead and stood up and said "what ever will I do where ever will I go?" ok I was not that dramatic but I did say "what the heck".

Well I got up and felt my knee pop from sitting all that time. I walked out and saw Heather sitting in the swing all by herself. I went out and sat down next to her.

you should of seen her face. Her eyes were as big as silver dollars and she said "what the heck"

I smiled I put my arm around her and we sat there for the next several hours and talked and watched the sun go down and the enjoyed the stars. we watched the neighbors do there thing you know we were doing regular Idaho stuff ha ha . Now every evening we go out and sit in the swing. to me its been the best past time and life around the house has become much better. I know that allot of the time Heather was quite frustrated at me because all I did was play that thing. but we are much happier now.

listen to me I sound like a guy in rehab

Hello my name is Gary and I am from WOWA

(World of Warcraft anonymous)

SO its time to take my alter ego the caped crusader, the killer of the Horde Nigtou and put him to rest. I am not sure if I will ever go back to the game, I have learned though that if I do I will learn how to manage my time better with it. but like some junkies if they go back its worse then before so I am not sure I will go back
